Privacy Policy

General

Hangangjari does not operate sign-up, user accounts, or advertising-identifier-based tracking. Processing of personal information (collecting, using, storing, and deleting the data needed to provide app features) is limited to the minimum necessary for the app's current functions.

Personal data we process

• Personal location data (current coordinates): processed temporarily on the device when you grant location permission and use the nearby-park or nearby-lot features. Current coordinates are not sent to Hangangjari servers and are not listed as a collected item in the App Store privacy details.
• On-device settings: app settings such as favorite lots, widget parks, alert settings, and navigation-app choice are stored on the device and in the App Group container.
• Product usage records: the app version and build, screen and entry paths, events such as favoriting, detail views, alert settings, and push opens, the related park ID or lot ID, whether navigation hand-off succeeded, and an anonymous install hash may be sent to the server. They contain no name, account, advertising identifier, or location coordinates.
• Performance diagnostics: technical data such as API paths, response codes, response times, and cache-hit counts may be sent to the server.
• Kakao SDK processing: the Kakao SDK included for KakaoNavi integration may process other data for the purpose of providing app features.
• Notification data: only on a release build with notifications enabled, the APNs push token, the park/lot IDs to be notified about, the signal type, the congestion/remaining-space thresholds, and quiet-hours and weekday settings are stored on the server.
• Inquiry data: when you contact us directly, the email address and the content of your inquiry are processed.

Hangangjari does not store names, phone numbers, account information, contacts, photos, location history, or advertising identifiers.

Purposes of processing

• Showing nearby Hangang parks and parking lots based on your current location
• Keeping user settings such as favorites, widgets, alerts, and navigation-app choice
• Providing outing information based on public portals and open data — parking lot lists, remaining spaces, facilities, events, notices, congestion, weather, transit, and the Ttareungi bike service
• Sending alerts about status changes, congestion, remaining spaces, and important events or notices for the lots and parks you set
• Launching the external navigation app you choose
• Analyzing the stability, performance, and feature quality of the app and server, and responding to errors
• Reviewing and responding to user inquiries

If the purpose of processing changes, we will carry out the notice or consent procedures required by applicable law.

Public data processing

Hangangjari collects public facility, event, and notice information from the Hangang integrated parking portal (iHangang), the Seoul Open Data Plaza and Seoul real-time city data, and the Hangang River Bureau, and presents it in an easy-to-read form in the app. In doing so, it may also retain quality-control metadata such as the source, update time, and whether collection succeeded.

Because original public sources may contain strings in the form of email addresses, phone numbers, or vehicle plate numbers, Hangangjari is designed to keep only permitted fields before storage and to mask such strings in display summaries and stored payloads. Hangangjari is not an official or officially affiliated app and respects the terms of use and disclosure scope set by each provider.

Retention and use period

• Current location coordinates are processed on the device only while providing the requested feature and are not stored or transmitted to the server.
• Favorites and settings remain on the device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app.
• Product usage records and performance diagnostics may be kept as server logs and metrics for as long as needed to verify the stability and feature quality of the app and server — in principle no longer than one year — and are not combined with personally identifying values.
• Push tokens and alert settings are kept on the server while the notification feature is provided, and are deleted or deactivated when you turn off notifications, when the token is invalidated, or when it has not been refreshed in the last 90 days.
• Inquiry data may be retained for up to three years after the inquiry is resolved; where a statutory retention obligation applies, it is kept for that period.

Destruction procedure and method

Personal information whose retention period has ended or whose purpose has been achieved is deleted or anonymized by a secure method so that it cannot be recovered or reconstructed. Favorites and settings stored on the device are deleted when you change them in the app or uninstall the app.

Provision to third parties

Hangangjari does not provide personal information to third parties for advertising, marketing, or sales. Where there is a special provision in law or a lawful request such as from an investigative authority, it may be processed within the scope permitted by applicable law.

If you choose to launch an external navigation app, the destination name and coordinates may be passed to that app, and subsequent processing follows that app's privacy policy.

Entrustment of processing

Hangangjari does not currently entrust personal-information processing for member management, advertising, or payment. However, it may use the following external services to operate the app, the website, and their features.

• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): when notifications are enabled, per-device push tokens and notification payloads are processed for the purpose of delivering notifications.
• Cloudflare: provides the app domain, API connectivity, static support/privacy pages, and security and network routing; request metadata may be processed during network connections.
• Cloudflare Email Routing and Google Gmail: when you contact us by email, your email address and inquiry content are processed for the purpose of receiving and replying.
• Kakao iOS SDK: included for KakaoNavi integration; the SDK declares data processing for the purpose of providing app features.
• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): processes cookie identifiers and website usage records to collect visit statistics for the Hangangjari website. See the 'Website analytics' section for details.

If separate entrustment of processing becomes necessary in the future, we will disclose the trustee, the scope of the entrusted work, and the retention and use period in this policy, and carry out the procedures required by applicable law where necessary.

Overseas transfer

In the course of the notification feature, app domain operation, email inquiry handling, and website visit-statistics collection, personal information or technical data may be processed through overseas providers' infrastructure.

• Apple Inc.: for APNs notification delivery, push tokens, notification titles and bodies, and park/lot identifiers may be processed.
• Cloudflare, Inc.: for the app domain, API connectivity, and email forwarding, request metadata and email-forwarding information may be processed.
• Google LLC: to receive and reply to email inquiries, your email address and inquiry content may be processed; to collect website visit statistics, cookie identifiers and website usage records may be processed.

Transfers occur over the network when you use the relevant feature or send an inquiry, and processing and retention follow each service's privacy standards. You can refuse such processing by turning off notifications in iOS settings or the app's alert settings, or by not sending email inquiries. In that case, some notification or inquiry-response features may be unavailable.

Location data

Hangangjari may use iOS location permission to show Hangang parks and parking lots near your current location. Personal location data (current coordinates) is processed temporarily on the device and used only to sort nearby parks and lots. Hangangjari does not send or store current coordinates on the server.

Location-based services (features that use location to show nearby places) are optional, and you can grant, deny, or withdraw permission at any time in iOS settings.

Behavioral data and tracking

Hangangjari does not operate personalized advertising, advertising-identifier-based tracking, or tracking of activity outside the app. Product usage records are used only to improve app quality and respond to errors, not for advertising profiling. The app currently uses no cookies, and Tracking is marked as None in the App Store privacy details. Website analytics

The Hangangjari website (hangangjari.app) collects anonymous visit statistics with Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to improve the service. Collected items are usage records such as page views and clicks, browser and device type, and approximate region (city level); cookies are used for this purpose. This information is not used to identify individual visitors and is not linked to app usage records. If you do not want cookies stored, you can block cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Website analytics does not apply to the app.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information. After confirming what is held, Hangangjari will act without delay to the extent possible.

Favorites and settings stored on the device can be changed or deleted directly in the app, and location and notification permissions can be changed at any time in iOS settings. When you turn off notifications, the push token and server-side alert settings become subject to deletion or deactivation.

Security measures

Hangangjari applies the principle of minimal processing and stores settings within the iOS sandbox and App Group container. It does not store user accounts, location history, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers on the server.

Product usage records use an anonymous install hash; push tokens and alert settings needed for notifications are stored only for delivery purposes and are protected by restricted access, encryption in transit, and exclusion of unnecessary logs. Original public data is limited to permitted fields, and strings in the form of email addresses, phone numbers, or vehicle plate numbers are masked before storage or display.

If this Privacy Policy changes, we will disclose the changes through the app or web page. For significant changes, we will carry out the notice or consent procedures required by applicable law.
